Journal History

⚡ Journal History Summary: Public Policy Journal (PPJ) was first published in March 2020 and has since grown significantly. The journal obtained its ISSN (2721-1681) in March 2020, achieved SINTA 4 accreditation in October 2022, and has continuously improved its quality standards, editorial board, and publication ethics following COPE guidelines. As of September 2024, the journal accepts only English-language articles to expand its international reach.

A. JOURNAL MILESTONES TIMELINE

 
2020

February 15, 2020 - First published online in Volume 1, Number 1, March 2020 edition with 7 articles. This marked the inaugural issue of Public Policy : Jurnal Aplikasi Kebijakan Publik dan Bisnis.

March 9, 2020 - Obtained ISSN number 2721-1681 (Online - Electronic) from the National Research and Innovation Agency, Directorate of Multimedia Repository and Scientific Publishing, NATIONAL ISSN CENTER INDONESIA.

September 1, 2020 - Volume 1, Number 2, September 2020 edition was released with 13 articles, doubling the number of publications from the inaugural issue.

2021

March 25, 2021 - Volume 2, Number 1, March 2021 edition was published with 11 articles.

July 27, 2021 - Volume 2, Number 2, September 2021 edition was published with 9 articles.

2022

March 9, 2022 - Volume 3, Number 1, March 2022 edition was published with 6 articles.

September 20, 2022 - Volume 3, Number 2, September 2022 edition was published with 6 articles.

October 3, 2022 - SINTA 4 ACCREDITATION achieved based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology Number 204/E/KPT/2022. This marked a significant milestone in the journal's quality recognition.

2023

February 16, 2023 - Volume 4, Number 1, March 2023 edition was published with 18 articles, showing significant growth in submissions.

May 7, 2023 - Volume 4, Number 2, September 2023 edition was published with 23 articles - the highest number of articles in a single issue to date.

September 22, 2023 - Publication Ethics improved in accordance with the best practices in COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics). The journal adopted COPE Core Practices and guidelines for handling ethical issues.

September 22, 2023 - Focus and Scope refined to be more specific, ensuring clearer alignment with the journal's mission in public policy and business applications.

2024

March 16, 2024 - Editorial Board expanded by adding Editorial Board members and Editorial Assistants from Australia and Gambia, as well as various universities in Indonesia. This internationalization effort strengthens the journal's global reach.

March 17, 2023 - OJS system transitioned to English - The entire editorial team within the OJS system transitioned to English as part of the development efforts for the PPJ journal to enhance international accessibility.

March 25, 2024 - Article Template improved to better align with international standards and APA 7th Edition requirements.

March 25, 2024 - Article lineup revised for Volume 5, Issue 1, March 2024, ensuring quality and consistency.

September 2024 (announced) - English-only policy - The journal has decided to only accept articles in English starting from Volume 5, Issue 2, September 2024 to expand international readership and improve indexing prospects.

Public Policy : Journal of Public Policy and Business Applications has decided to only accept articles in English starting from Volume 5, Issue 2, September 2024.
