Peer reviewers of NUSALEGIS: Journal of Legal Studies are selected based on their academic qualifications, research experience, publication record, and expertise in relevant fields of law and legal studies.

Reviewers assist the Editorial Team by providing independent, objective, confidential, and constructive assessments of submitted manuscripts. Their recommendations support editorial decisions and help authors improve the scholarly quality, legal reasoning, methodological rigor, and clarity of their manuscripts.

NUSALEGIS seeks to maintain a diverse reviewer network involving scholars from different institutions, areas of legal expertise, and academic backgrounds.

Reviewers are selected by the Editorial Team based on several considerations, including:

• Relevant academic expertise in the subject of the manuscript;
• Appropriate academic qualifications;
• Demonstrated research and publication experience;
• Experience in law or related interdisciplinary fields;
• Ability to provide objective and constructive scholarly assessments;
• Absence of significant conflicts of interest with the authors or manuscript;
• Commitment to confidentiality and publication ethics.

Double-Blind Peer Review

NUSALEGIS applies a double-blind peer-review process. The identities of authors are not disclosed to reviewers, and reviewer identities are not disclosed to authors during the review process. Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening are normally evaluated by at least two independent reviewers whose expertise is relevant to the manuscript.

Manuscripts received for review are confidential documents. Reviewers must not disclose, reproduce, share, distribute, or use unpublished information contained in manuscripts for personal or professional advantage. Reviewer reports and editorial correspondence are also treated as confidential components of the peer-review process.

Reviewers should decline a review invitation when personal, professional, institutional, financial, academic, or other relationships could reasonably affect the impartiality of their assessment. Potential conflicts should be communicated to the Editorial Team as early as possible.
